The Binsted Cast Iron Radiator can be operated directly from a heating system in a hydronic configuration or as a stand alone electric radiator where pipework or plumbing installation is limited. Please note however that this product should only be installed on a closed circuit system and that we do not recommend fitting on a salt softened water system unless otherwise agreed with your installer. In addition, please note that this product cannot be fitted on a hot water system.

All cast iron radiators supplied by Rutland London feature a matt finish applied via a durable aerospace paint coating. Rutland London is able to cater for custom requests such as gloss or satin finishes or near matching the colours of popular paint brands including Farrow & Ball, Benjamin Moore and Sherwin-Williams.

This radiator includes 2no solid brass "RL" wall stays and 1no solid brass air vent. Brass componentry for all cast iron radiators supplied by Rutland London is provided in a Polished (Unlacquered) Brass finish as standard. Please contact Rutland London should you require an alternative finish from our portfolio of 20+ brassware finishes.

Solid brass radiator valves are sold separately and are available in our full portfolio of 20+ luxury finishes.

It should be noted that all cast iron radiators are subject to manufacturing tolerances which can be (but not limited to) 1/16" per section. In addition, due to weight and size limitations, larger configurations may be supplied in sub-sections for assembly onsite.

Care should be taken to ensure the suitability of your walls to support this wall mounted product prior to purchase. It is noted that cast iron radiators generally have a significant weight - please contact Rutland London should you require further information regarding the weight of our cast iron radiators.

The Binsted Cast Iron Radiator is available to purchase today in a range of our most popular paint brands, but should you require an alternative or custom colour, size or heating option we encourage you to email sales@rutlandlondon.com

COLUMN / CAST IRON

Discover the differences

Rutland London offers homeowners and designers an extensive portfolio of both column and cast iron radiators - each respective product type offers their own benefits and these should be considered prior to purchasing.

Cast iron radiators offer a classic appearance synonymous with the historic radiators often found within period properties. However, their external surface can be considered to be "rustic" - this is an unavoidable feature of cast iron and can include pitting, burrs and other manufacturing marks. Similarly, it should also be considered that cast iron radiators can in some instances exceed 400lbs in weight and handling onsite should be considered.

Column radiators offer a more contemporary and streamlined appearance. Being made from steel their weight is significantly less than that of their cast iron equivalents.

In each instance Rutland London acknowledges that there will be an aesthetic requirement which may dictate your product choice, however we recommend noting the above points.
